As of today, it's been 2 months since I first arrived here in Melbourne... and tonite, I will be flying back to Malaysia. I will back at work on this coming Wednesday (3rd of September, 2008). See ya'.
This is the author's journal as a single man living and working in a high density area in Malaysia. Being single, life is neither predictable nor easy. Like a man with family commitment, a single man also set back by hurdles in life: workplace, friends & family relationship, finance, soul purification, and love. Yey hey... it is almost two months to be here in Melbourne. In 10 days, I will be able to land my feet to the soil of Malaya.
Admitly, I was and am excited to be here in Melbourne. I am also delighted to have more oppotunities to be here again in the future. Why shouldn't I? Melbourne is really a good place, really.
In a Malay idiom:
Hujan batu di negeri sendiri,... loosely translated to:
Hujan emas di negeri orang
Lebih baik negeri sendiri
Raining stone in my homelandIn short, it means, to live in our own mother land is much more better and preferable although the opportunity to live in foreign country will bring us much more riches, fame, and good life.
Raining gold in foreign land
My homeland is still the best to live.
As much as I admire how well the Melbourne metro city was, and still is... but now I begin to see and appreciate to see the marble in Malaysia, my mother land.
Journey to the foreign land, open my mind towards the people there. One of them is I find that the Caucasian ladies here are mostly pretty, as pretty or prettier than the actress I watched in television series. ;-) However, don't get me wrong, I still (as of now) love Malay ladies (Please tune to Jamal Abdillah's singing on "Siapa kata gadis Melayu tak menawan", which literally translated to "Who said Malay ladies are not hot")
Anyway, see you there, in Malaysia.
By the way, if you don't know where Malaysia is, it is sistuated to the north of the island of Singapore, and at the peninsular to the south of Thailand. The eastern part of Malaysia is situated in the northern part of Borneo island.

Early last month, I wrote about winter in Melbourne in my post blog, and here is an update.
Well, it is still winter right now. I admit, as a single man (he he, mind me, just to be matching with the title of this blog) who is coming from rain forest tropical country, this kind of winter is really cold. However, there is no snow at my place now (North Richmond, Yarra, Melbourne). The temperature never (as far as I know) go sub degree. Heh... that is not cold enough, compare to other countries winter that can fall below minus 20 degree. But hey... come on, I spent most of my life living in a very humid condition with temperature ranging from 22 to 35 degree average.
As of early of my stay here, I took lost of measure to prevent myself from cold, like wearing thick winter jacket, long john, thermal scarf, etc. However, I find myself only wear normal office outfit (just like in Malaysia) plus a Just Jean jacket. Cool huh? ;-) Now I get to use to the cold here. I guess that's a good news. Well, I have a few more weeks here in Melbourne.
If my stay does not get extended for another month, I will have myself watching movie in Malaysia cinema with my beautiful friend(s) on 30th of August onwards. ;-)
Last but not least, I have a message to the, nice lady:
Dear nice lady in Malaysia, see you (and please leave your number in the comment section below or email to me, ha ha ha).
